Opening in 2027: Hope on the High Street

We’re getting ready to “Open Our Doors Widely” and expand our church, our community, and our facilities. We have raised more than £2 million, and we are very close to reaching our fundraising target.

When the building project finishes, Rivertown will be truly be welcoming for the whole community. It will be more accessible, with more space, rooms to hire, and better equipped. There will also be exciting opportunities for new activities.

The Community Hub, church services, and all of our usual events are still happening every week in our new temporary location during the works. You can find us on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sundays at

Our project will expand our community engagement and allow us to do more for our community in Shotton and Deeside. Our improved facilities will be fully accessible, modern and welcoming.

The project couldn’t have happened without the support of the talented people at Ainsley Gommon Architects, Flintshire County Council, Welsh Government, The Funding Centre, the United Reformed Church, National Synod of Wales and Gareth Morris Construction.

None of this would be possible without the backing and funding of some very special people and organisations.
